When to Scuba Dive in Indonesia?

You can enjoy scuba diving in any of our destinations year-round. The rainy season occurs from November to March, with the heaviest rainfall typically happening between January and February.

Because of the lack of rivers, visibility remains good even during the rainy season around the Penida Protected Area. Manta rays can be spotted throughout the entire year!

Meanwhile, your best bet to encounter the Mola is between July and October only in Penida Marine Sanctuary.

When to Scuba Dive in Indonesia?

You can experience scuba diving at any of our three locations all year long. The rainy season runs from November to March, with the most significant rainfall usually occurring in January and February. 

In the Penida Protected Area, visibility stays clear even during the rainy season due to the absence of rivers. You can see manta rays all year round!

On the other hand, if you're hoping to see the Mola, your best chance is between July and October, exclusively in the Penida Marine Sanctuary.
